please be aware that I moved to Hamburg, Germany. so the part about shooting in Bergen, Norway is not valid anymore and will be updated shortly

general

  • Modern smartphones actually take really good pictures and the combination with AI apps certainly gives us photographers with bulky cameras competition to a certain extent. However, professional photography equipment offers significantly more options for image composition and also higher image quality.

In addition to the camera, I have the right lens for every situation and with various light shapers, flashes and continuous lights I can put you in the perfect lighting for every mood.

In addition, the price not only includes the shooting time, but also the preparation and you should not forget that each picture requires an average of around 20 minutes of editing time.

  • Of course, not everyone who wants to work with me has to travel to Norway. I travel regularly through different countries and will probably come to your area at some point. As soon as I plan a new shooting tour, I will announce it in my IG story. It's best to check my Instagram profile (link) regularly to stay up to date.

You are also welcome to write to me about where I should go to and I will try to take that into account in my plans. And if you cover the travel costs etc., I'll be happy to travel around the world for you!

  • I currently live in Bergen, Norway. I have a home photo studio here and the city and the surrounding nature offer an incredible number of beautiful shooting spots.

So if you are interested in a short trip to Norway, please contact me. I can also help you with planning and work with you to see where we can shoot something and would also be happy to give you further tips for your stay here.

My study can also be converted into a guest room and has already been employed by several models. Please contact me for further information.

  • You have a larger project planned and would like to work with me over several days? For example, a calendar shoot with a model friend in Mallorca or a photo trip through Iceland? I'm happy to do something like that! If you have any plans like this, just contact me and we can plan the trip together.

  • When I talk about location, I usually mean the place where the shoot takes place. This can be an apartment, hotel room or a house with a garden when shooting at home (I always have everything with me to turn almost every apartment into a photo studio), a rented photo studio or a location in an urban area (e.g. a lost place or a subway station) or in nature (e.g. a lake or a forest with a hut) during outdoor shoots.

For outdoor shoots, this can also be viewed broader, like for example, we explore a part of a district together and look for suitable photo spots.

It can happen during a shoot that we change locations, we usually will discuss this during the planning stage.

  • By setting I mean the combination of outfit, location, background and lighting mood which then leads to a series of images.

For example, you can create a completely new setting by changing your outfit and changing the lighting without changing the location of the shoot.

during the shooting

  • Of course not! During the shooting, your personal boundaries will never be violated or exceeded and you alone decide how much skin you want to show! Depending on the location, you will always have your own room or a separate area where you can change in peace.

  • With daringly cut dresses or covered nudes, it can happen that there is a flash of nipples or something to the like. In this case, if requested, I will immediately delete the images from the camera in your presence.

  • I won't touch you during the shoot, don't worry. If it ever becomes necessary for hair or something like that to be straightened, I will always only do this after consultation and clear permission from you.

  • The shooting begins and ends at the agreed time. If you change your make-up or take 10 smoking breaks during the shoot, the time unfortunately continues to run during the shoot - especially for shoots of 3 hours or more, such breaks are of course planned in and stress usually doesn't arise. Also, I usually won't look at the clock all the time, so you don't have to worry about me just packing up the camera during a set.

If you are late for the shoot, I ask you to let me know as early as possible - I will then try my best to be accommodating. Please note, however, that I may have other appointments after our shooting.

However, if we have booked a location for the shoot, this goodwill usually does not apply. This is then at the discretion of those responsible for the location.

In principle, the agreed time always applies to payment. For example, if you booked from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. but don't show up until 3 p.m. and want to leave at 5 p.m., then the booking for 3-4 hours still counts, even if you only used 2 hours of it.

  • If we change the location during the shoot, this also counts as part of the shooting time.

Usually, locations always provide enough settings for us to easily fill a 4-hour shooting. Furthermore, I usually have several backgrounds with me and we expand the possibilities even further with different lighting moods.

The situation can be a little different if we are shooting in nature or outside in the city. The routes to and from the shooting spots should of course be taken into account in the planning and this will then make up a correspondingly larger part of the preliminary discussion, planning and research.

  • We can use existing images as inspiration and ideas and then develop our own thing from there. What I don't like to do is simply copy a photo from another artist - most of the time that also just doesn't work because everyone has their own style.

  • Especially if you don't have much or no shooting experience, it can help if you copy a few poses from model photos and practice them in the mirror before the shoot. During the shoot I will of course give you tips and ideas if desired.

before the shooting

  • I will discuss the most important details of the shooting with you in a phone or video call (or via email) in good time before the shoot. This includes the exact meeting point, what shooting ideas we have and anything else that needs to be taken into account. We will also discuss the outfits and make-up and if there are any other requests.

We also talk about the location and possible location changes and everything else that is important. Depending on your shooting experience, location and what we have planned in general, this conversation will of course be longer or shorter.

Of course, I will continue to be available to answer any questions you may have before, during and after the planning call.

And before we do the planning, you are welcome to pick out a few pictures that show the direction you would like to take during the shooting - as inspiration and moods for us to start from.

  • You as the model are responsible for make-up and hair styling. I am though happy to provide advice if there are any questions. Basically, it should be noted that photo lights (flashes, etc.) tend to require heavier make-up - especially if you tend to go without or with only little make-up in everyday life. There are countless instructions and tutorials on the Internet for this.

If desired, we can bring in a make-up artist/hair stylist for the shoot - we should plan and discuss this together.

Since a professional photo shooting is a one-off event for a lot of customers, experience has shown that many go to the hairdresser and/or stylist beforehand. In this case, please make sure to let them know that it is for a photo shooting. A good make-up artist then knows which facial areas need to be emphasized more.

  • I recommend shaving the parts of the body that will be seen in the pictures (e.g. armpit or pubic area) with a fresh blade a few hours before the shoot or the evening before. Depending on the image, hair stubbles and razor bumps can be very difficult to retouch.

Please DO NOT squeeze out pimples or other skin imperfections shortly before the shoot. It is relatively easy to remove a pimple in editing, whereas a larger area of red and swollen skin leads to significantly more problems!

  • The same applies to sunburn as to pimples. Red areas of skin are quite difficult to correct in editing, so please avoid sunburn before the shooting. Not to mention the fact that sunburn is generally not healthy for your skin.

  • Similar to sunburn, when a tattoo has just been done, the skin around it is usually red and swollen - not to mention if the tattoo is still wrapped up.

  • I only work with a contract. This regulates the scope and circumstances of the shoot, as well as the permitted uses of the images (see also the Image Rights section here in the FAQ). I would be happy to send you a copy of the contract in advance so that you can read it at your leisure and we can make any changes to it if necessary.

  • A deposit of 30% of the photo shoot value as well as any travel costs may be required beforehand to secure the shooting. The deposit serves as a binding reservation for the photo shoot. The deposit will be offset against the fee after the photo shoot. The deposit must be paid before the shooting either in cash, by bank transfer or Paypal/Payconiq. It should be noted that only a deposit paid on time guarantees the appointment.

  • The agreed shooting date is binding and can be cancelled free of charge in writing up to 72 hours in advance. If the client does not cancel in a timely manner, the photographer reserves the right to charge the deposit in the amount of 30% of the photo shoot value as cancellation fee.

If one or both parties incur non-refundable costs due to a late cancellation (e.g. booking a location, flight ticket), these must be borne by the party responsible for the cancellation. For this purpose, all non-refundable fixed costs must be made known to both parties in advance.

  • You are of course allowed to bring a companion with you to the shooting. However, it is important to ensure that they do not disrupt the shoot.

after the shooting

  • After the shooting, I will look through the pictures and sort out the pictures that didn't turn out. You will then receive a link from me that gives you access to a private online gallery. Here you will find the images from the shooting and you will be able to choose which ones you would like to have edited (depending on how many images are included in your booked package) and you can also leave comments if necessary. Here you can decide which ones you would like and also whether you would like to buy more.

Approximately 1-2 weeks after you made your selection, you will receive a new link with the edited images. The images will now be available for you to download in maximum resolution for at least 1 month.

Of course, you can still leave comments and requests after my first edit if you would like me to make any further changes.

I'll show and explain to you exactly how the site works during the shooting.

  • If you would like to get more pictures than those included in your booked package, you can simply let me know and mark them during the selection process.

Each image (including editing) that is added in this way costs a flat rate of €19.

You can also buy additional pictures later, that's no problem.

  • In keeping with my philosophy that photography should capture the beauty that is inherent in everyone, I try to be careful when editing images. Of course, I will remove the annoying pimple and any small scratches and blemishes as best I can, but I will not make any major changes to the body itself.

Through colour grading, light setting and image framing, we bring out your natural beauty without having to distort it.

  • The usage rights of the images are always regulated individually. In principle, the images may always be used for your own profiles and for private and non-commercial use.

  • I myself will not be releasing any printed images. But I would be happy to support you if you want to have the pictures printed in high quality after the shoot.
